A Little Update…(because if I don’t update, they take away my blogger’s license)

I’m just popping in quick to say hi to everyone! Yes this blog is still going and yes I’m working on updating at least once a week.

Over the past weekend I finally managed to convert Who Would Destroy the Gods from it’s original file format (I’m not sure if it was written in Appleworks or Wordperfect) into Scrivener. I’m also manually fixing the format as when it was created there was no digital formatting and so everything had to be manually input (aka all spaces and hard returns).

As I’m doing this part of the editing, I’m making comments in the margin and correcting minor spelling mistakes. There are also some areas that I’m going to have to completely rewrite in order to maintain the flow. (For my family members who may be aghast at that thought, I will also have an unedited copy tucked away somewhere.) It’s going to be a long haul as I get further and further into the editing.

As always, I’ll keep you updated!

Yep, as you say, it’s going to be a long, heavy slog. And you’re doing it in addition to…all those other minor details like earning a living etc. etc. Persistence is a good Wagner character trait. I admire what I don’t always have!

Looking for a Great Book to Read? Look No Further!

To speak of Ardan the Grim is to speak of many things. One must tell of how he was the last in a line of men who had stood for far Tharid. A line descended from Ardan the Fair, who left Asbaln that there should be no quarrels with his brother, Randell of Avantir. Both of them being sons of the famous Guardian of the Sword of Avantir, Rorick. Wyrta the seer spoke to him in these words: "In the twentieth year, on spring's first day, seek a path to the West away. Go to the land of the Silver Hair, for thy fate does await thee there." Years after Rorick and Conel rode forth to free the land of Asbaln from the barbaric tribes, comes one man who will ride forth to save the kingdom and he will wear... The Crystal Crown.
